Sri Gomathi Vidyalaya Primary School, established in 1999, is a reputed educational institution located on Perumalpattu Main Road near Rettakulam, in Tiruvallur district, Tamil Nadu. Founded by Mr. M. Kamaraj, the school has been committed to providing quality education and nurturing young minds for over two decades.
The school offers education from LKG to 5th Standard, focusing on building a strong academic foundation during the early years of a child’s development. With a total student strength of around 279 and a dedicated team of 10 staff members, the school ensures individual attention and a supportive learning environment.
Sri Gomathi Vidyalaya follows modern teaching methodologies such as the Playway Method and Audio-Visual learning, making education engaging and effective for young learners. The institution also promotes holistic development through various extracurricular activities including Karate, Abacus, Hindi, and English training.
The school places high importance on safety and infrastructure. The campus is fully equipped with CCTV surveillance, fire protection systems, clean and hygienic toilets, and well-maintained facilities. Transportation is another highlight, with school buses fitted with cameras, GPS tracking, and experienced drivers to ensure student safety.
Admissions are open for LKG with a minimum age requirement of 3+ years, and Aadhaar card submission is required. The school provides uniforms, including sports uniforms, and maintains an affordable fee structure. In line with government norms, 25% of seats are reserved under the RTE (Right to Education) scheme.
Sri Gomathi Vidyalaya also conducts various yearly activities such as educational tours, national celebrations, sports day events, and a grand Annual Day function, encouraging students to actively participate and showcase their talents. Regular term examinations are conducted as per government guidelines.
The school is guided by a highly qualified leadership profile, with academic credentials including M.A. (English), M.Ed., M.Phil in Education, M.Sc. in Yoga, and M.Sc. in Psychology, along with experience as a former Juvenile Justice Member and Child Welfare Committee member in Tiruvallur.
